It’s ok to include a short excerpt from the article (click “quote” and put the text you want to highlight in between the blockquotes):

Two Sioux Cityans contend they faced removal votes from the Woodbury County Republican Party Central Committee for not embracing a key plank of the 2010 gubernatorial campaign by Bob Vander Plaats of Sioux City.

On Thursday the county party’s central committee voted to oust Dennis Hill of Sioux City, while former five-year county chairwoman Barb Vakulskas survived a removal vote. The two were targeted, they say, after they reacted to Vander Plaats’ statement that as governor he would issue an executive order to overturn the April Iowa Supreme Court ruling that made same-sex marriage legal in Iowa.

Steve Salem, the Woodbury County Republican Party Chairman following Vakulskas’ tenure, said a continuing rift driven by Christian social conservatives is harming the party.

“The one crime that I see that (Hill and Vakulskas) committed is that they did not follow the radical right in lockstep,” Salem said Tuesday.
