Happy Father’s Day to the men in the Bleeding Heartland community who enjoy this holiday. My sympathies go out to you if the day is a painful reminder of a man who was never there for you, or of a beloved parent who is no longer living, or of a child in your family who has passed away.

Happy Father’s Day to all. I will always have fond memories of my father’s passion (politics, Democratic party chairman for YEARS) (mother treasurer) and how they loved it and beamed ear to ear when candidates came through our home for fundraisers and visits.
This is a day for Dad’s. Some of us who have lived longer than our dads did have a lot of thoughts go through our mind on this day.
