Greetings from Kentucky to the Iowa Progressives on Bleeding Heartland. I created an account and lurk here from time to time, but try to respect the Iowa-based format. I must say I enjoy reading here and much of the writing and comments.  

I was Adminstor of one Kentucky state blog, Bluegrassroots.org for a time and recently moved on to start a new blog with a man I consider one of the finest video bloggers in the nation, and a true no-nonsense Progressive in Kentucky, the Hillbilly Jim Pence.

We are trying to create a blog that will turn not only one state, but all rural areas more blue. We realize that many of the red districts that can change the balance in elections are from rural areas. That is why I am here, asking for your help.

Please, any member of bleeding heartland that wants to come, join, comment, raise awareness for Iowa Democrats, or just write on anything having to do with rural Democrats and policy. We are hoping to create a community to be a real force for rural candidates and issues for years to come.
